A Different Kind
Of Animal Shelter
FORGOTTEN FELINES is a private, all-volunteer, 501c3 organization in Westbrook, CT, serving ten towns along the Connecticut River and shoreline. We rescue homeless cats and kittens, care for them in our no-kill shelter and work to find them loving, adoptive homes.
Cat of the Week
SING ARIA’S PRAISES!
Aria is just waiting to take center stage in someone’s life. She has come a long way
since arriving at the shelter. At first a little shy, she is now one of the room greeters,
especially when she trusts her visitors! Aria would love a quiet home where she could be encouraged to love, trust and bond with her special human! She is a long-haired tortoiseshell, a cat color found only in females, meaning she has blacks and oranges and tans in her coat, with no white. Her stunning green eyes just add to her beauty.
To adopt Aria or any other cat or kitten, please call the Forgotten Felines adoption line at 860-669-1347 or apply online.
FORGOTTEN FELINES is now open Saturdays for adoption events at the shelter, 153 Horse Hill Road, Westbrook, from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Strictly enforced safety procedures will be in place. All visitors and volunteers must wear masks and use hand sanitizer, and the number of visitors in the shelter at any given time will be monitored to maintain social distancing.
As always, adoption applications can be submitted on-line.
Forgotten Felines can always use dedicated volunteers to look after our feline residents. If you have a couple of hours a week to help with our cats and are 18 years or older, please contact us here. Thank you for your patience.
11AM - 3PM
Our very own Reilly has a store to benefit all his friends at the shelter! I bet you did not know, but Reilly loves to ReCycle, ReUse and RePurpose (any wonder he resides in the Green Room?)! One of the main purposes of Reilly's ReTail Store is to make sure the items the shelter does not need does not get thrown out. It could be items that were donated that we have no use for and other items that were just unearthed like a lighted Christmas tree! We also have volunteers or friends of our kitties who love to make things for our shelter to sell, like the popular catnip filled fleece mats. Reilly would love to have as many cat-related items as possible.
Reilly's ReTail Store is not very big and is located right in the entrance of the shelter. If you happen to make anything you would like to donate to Reilly's Store, let us know! Small items are best and maybe just a few to start out.
Items that are not handmade will be priced so they sell quickly and need to be in very good condition or new. Prices will be reduced the longer it sits unsold.
Please contact us with any ideas or items you have. It will only be open to the public during Open Adoption Events. All donations need to be approved before dropping off because we do not have the space to store inventory. Contact us at email@example.com or message us on our Facebook page!
