A DIFFERENT KIND OF SHELTER
Forgotten Felines is a private, all-volunteer, 501c3 organization in Westbrook, CT, serving eleven towns along the Connecticut River and shoreline. We rescue homeless cats and kittens, care for them in our no-kill shelter and work to find them loving, adoptive homes.

OUR MISSION
Forgotten Felines, Inc. is a charitable, non-profit organization with a mission to stop the proliferation of homeless cats living hard lives and struggling to find food and shelter on the streets of our local communities. We have all the cats we rescue spayed or neutered, vaccinated, given thorough health exams, and tested for feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus

(FIV).

At our humane, no-kill shelter, we provide rescued cats with nutritious food, warm beds, and expert care, with the goal of finding them permanent, loving homes.

All the cats we rescue are spayed or neutered, given thorough examinations, vaccinated, and tested for fatal feline diseases.

OUR HISTORY

Forgotten Felines was founded in 1992 to help meet the growing needs of the homeless cat population on the Connecticut shoreline. We currently have over 75 active volunteers, most of whom have full-time jobs. We are not open to the public with posted hours, and book all visits by appointment.

OUR SHELTER
We are located in Westbrook, CT.  Our cats live in a 4,000 square foot building with multiple "cat
rooms" where our kitties roam free. In addition, two large, screened "catios" -- freely accessible from inside their rooms -- give the kitties a close-up view of the outdoors -- including the birds and squirrels!

Our service area includes Centerbrook, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Guilford, Ivoryton, Killingworth, Madison,Old Saybrook, and Westbrook.
